Literature for everyone in the South West |

Read South West covers the entire South West region and brings together librarians with a knowledge of how public libraries can promote and illuminate literature, reading, and stories to adults. The promotion of books, reading and stories is a core job of libraries, the critical importance of which is brought into ever more sharper focus when the advantages in life for people who read for pleasure are fully understood. Read South West is administered by Cyprus Well.
The group meets three times a year, and also liaises with the BBC for projects such as Headroom or RAW, the Reading Agency through connecting authors with readers, and with other organisations looking to promote literature and reading in libraries - such as the Bristol Cultural Development Partnership when it was planning its regionwide reads. The group does not make grants, and does not have an allocated budget.
You can contact Read South West here. Please add the location in the region you are enquiring about to the subject line, and we will make sure it is passed to the correct Library.
