Can you cut the waffle plate?

The short answer is yes, but it's a bit tricky. Since waffle irons are custom made, it's important to know the do's and don'ts of waffle irons. The good thing is that the waffle maker is quite flexible and can be placed in many types of architecture.

When pouring intermediate slabs (such as normal concrete), you must provide mold cavities for service joints. However, they are not installed with trenches like ordinary plates. So if you want to cut waffle sheets, you need to cut the mold cavity. Does this really affect disk integrity? So you end up clogging them with more concrete. Which, in turn, goes beyond the purpose of using a waffle board altogether.
