Some crops only grow in certain weather conditions while some die if forced to grow on a different condition; that is why it is very important to choose your crops well so that your money and effort won't be put to waste. Here are some tips on how to do so.

The first thing that you have to do is to take note of the current season. Like what I've said earlier, some crops only grow in certain weather conditions. Basically, there are two types of crops; the cool season crops and the warm season crops.

Cool-season crops should only be planted when the weather is cool. It could be during spring, fall or even winter. Cabbage, asparagus, broccoli, onions, parsley, turnips, and spinach are some examples of this type of crop. On the other hand, warm-season crops should only be planted, obviously, when the weather is warm. These crops are perfect to grow during the summer. Some examples of this crop include sweet corn, cucumber, tomato, and pumpkin.

The next thing that you have to do is to assess your gardening skill and the amount of time that you can allot every day. If you're just starting on this hobby, you may start with plants that are easy to grow.
