Embroidered patches are a great way to show off your creativity and express yourself on a piece of clothing. But before you can show off your design, you have to know how to properly attach the patches to the garment.  

Tools and Materials Needed 

Before you start attaching your unique design embroidered patches, make sure you have all the tools and materials you need. You’ll need the patch, scissors, an iron, a piece of cloth, and fabric glue or an iron-on adhesive.  

Preparing the Patch 

Once you have all the supplies, it’s time to prepare the patch for attaching. Start by removing any backing from the patch. If your patch has an iron-on backing, make sure to leave it intact. Next, cut away any excess fabric or threads from the patch.

Attaching the Patch 

Now that your patch is ready, you can start attaching it to the garment. If your patch has an iron-on backing, place it on the garment and use an iron to attach it. Make sure to use a piece of cloth between the iron and the patch to prevent damage. If your patch doesn’t have an iron-on backing, you can use fabric glue or an iron-on adhesive to attach it. Start by applying the adhesive to the back of the patch. Then, place the patch on the garment and press down firmly. Allow the patch to dry before wearing it.  

Finishing Touches 

Once your patch is attached, you can give it a few finishing touches. Start by trimming away any excess adhesive or fabric around the patch. You can also use a few stitches to secure the patch in place.
